Lindsay Morris- Ballroom Teachers Academy, Director

Lindsay's lifelong love for dance began at age 5, and has led her through extensive training in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical and Ballroom.  In high school, Lindsay was a dance team captain for 4-time national champion Pioneer High School of San Jose.  In 1995, she co-founded the University of the Pacific's dance team, which has since grown into a NCAA Division I scholarship program.  After earning her bachelors' degree in Business Administration and International Marketing, Lindsay discovered her appreciation for ballroom dancing while a student of the Arthur Murray Dance Studio of San Jose in 1998.  In 2001, she left behind corporate finance to pursue her dream as a professional ballroom dancer.  Ever since, Lindsay continues to grow and excel as a teacher, competitor and manager.

Today, Lindsay is the manger for Cheryl Burke Dance San Francisco, where she connects with students and instructors to promote ballroom dance within the community.  As director of Ballroom Teachers Academy, Lindsay is committed to sharing her success with the next generation of professional teachers to prepare them for a rewarding and lasting career in ballroom dance.

Rose Vierling - Ballroom Teachers Academy, Master Teacher

After studying Ballet, Tap and Jazz in her childhood, Rose discovered partner dancing in high school.  Lacking a formal ballroom studio in her hometown, she located a teacher and organized a class amongst her peers.  A passion stirred and there was no turning back from what would blossom into an inspired career.  In addition to her accomplishments as a Salsa and Argentine Tango performer, Rose is also a graduate of the Ballroom Dance Teachers College.  She has completed DVIDA Associate certifications for American-style Rhythm and Smooth, DVIDA Grand Master certification for Argentine Tango, and pursues further certification under the guidance of DVIDA national examiner Diane Jarmolow.

Rose’s engaging teaching methods have been presented in group lessons, workshops, and private instruction at The Metronome, The Pick School of Ballroom Dancing, Just Dance and Cheryl Burke Dance.  Her performances have been featured at Tango in Union Square, the San Francisco 49ers halftime show and dance festivals throughout Northern California.  As Ballroom Teachers Academy master teacher, Rose steps into the role of mentor and shares years of considerable experience with the professional ballroom dancers of tomorrow.
